Q.Is
it illegal to request an individual by age when seeking a temporary or temp to
hire employee?
A.When
hiring a "Senior" from SNAP!
you are in complete compliance with the law. (Yes/No question:
"Are you 40 years or older?")
Q.How
does Snap! do it?
A.The SNAP!
Senior Staffing Division (an Equal Opportunity Program) has been specially
formatted to comply with the guidelines of the Colorado Revised Statutes, the
rules and regulations of the Civil rights Commission, The Age Discrimination in
Employment Act of 1967 and the Age Discrimination guidelines of the EEOC.
Q.Are
the Seniors denied placement with SNAP!
if they are not specifically requested?
A.Absolutely
not. Seniors voluntarily register for the senior designation so that SNAP!
may legally search for them when a client company requests a senior. In
addition, seniors qualify for all other available positions.
Q.Who
qualifies for the program?
A.*Federal
law dictates individuals 40 years and older to be protected.
